Considering there is an immense gap of trail running races this year, Julian Alps Trail Run team has decided to offer you a trail running adventure on our event's routes.
Alpe Adria Trail Cup (AATC) Trail Running Camp has everything a real trail runner needs. It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends, have fun and become a better runner in the process. AATC Trail Running Camp at idyllic locations in Tolmin and Kranjska Gora has it all – beautiful single trails, technical Julian Alps terrains and stunning alpine valleys with rivers and lakes, which are a great source of after run refreshment.
Today we put together some advice and ideas for your meals before and after training. But let's not forget – food consumption times are a much less important factor for recreational runners. It's much more important to reach a sufficient energy and nutrition input during the whole day.
Even though the race season is currently on hold due to the epidemic, we are still giving you an alternative in the Alpe Adria Trail Cup. We invite you to prepare with us for the times when we can run together again in nature.
First impressions about Slovenian Alps are connected with stunning nature, extremely rich with magnificent peaks, clear rivers and many alpine lakes. This area is internationally well known for its hiking, cycling and skiing. We made it our goal to turn it into the go-to place for trail running as well, so that's why Julian Alps Trail Run was born. We strongly believe we can make this small story into a huge novel - a novel made out of your crazy experiences.
Being in good shape is the key to enjoying a race. If you haven’t trained enough, the chosen challenge can quickly take a turn from adventure to pure torture. That is why we put together training programmes, which you can use to be as prepared as possible for Julian Alps Trail Run.
As 2020 is the year of expansion, we'll also be expanding our accompanying programme during the last weekend of September.
The city of Kranjska Gora and its surroundings offer everything that trail running stands for – mountain paths, where easy and runnable terrains intertwine and sometimes surprise you with more technical ones. But not only that – you’ll also be able to experience many stunning alpine valleys during your run at Julian Alps Trail Run.
In case you haven’t quite decided whether Julian Alps and its surroundings are the right trail running destination yet, then we’d like to show you some hidden gems nearby that are definitely worth a visit.
